The Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator is a technical analysis tool that, through five complementary lines that are added to the traditional candlestick chart, tries to define the general trend, give a buy-sell signal or see the strength of the signal that the chart is giving.
Literally, Ichimoku Kinko Hyo translates as “one glance equilibrium chart”. The original system consists of five lines named Tenkan-Sen, Kijun-Sen, Senkou Span A, Senkou Span B and the Chikou Span. What we call the Ichimoku cloud is the area between the Senkou Span A and Senkou Span B, it is usually coloured.
